  • San Jose, Occidental Mindoro - The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA successfully conducted the turnover of leadership for Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (IMO) on July 18, 2023, at NIA Training Center in San Jose.

    The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the agency’s commitment to effective irrigation management and agricultural development in the province. This event highlighted the symbolic passing of the baton of leadership from Acting Division Manager Maria Victoria O. Malenab to Division Manager Raymundo L. Calusin.

  • Coron, Palawan - In a commendable display of dedication to excellence, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA Region under the leadership of Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes and Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO), headed by Division Manager Armando L. Flores, completed the final inspection of the construction of the CY 2022 Papualan Small Irrigation Project (SIP) on July 12, 2023. This 31-million Peso irrigation project includes the construction of canal linings and canal structures undertaken by PJ Construction and Supply on June 16, 2022.

  • Occidental Mindoro - The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (IMO) has engaged the services of Engineering and Development Corporation of the Philippines (EDCOP) to undertake the Feasibility Study of the proposed Lipitan Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (SRIP).

  • Oriental Mindoro - The National Irrigation Administration Mindoro Oriental- Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO) conducted a clearing operation on July 11, 2023 in collaboration with the Babucanaw Irrigators Association (IA) members. This activity was conducted as part of the regular operations and maintenance of the irrigation system to prevent issues such as blockages, structural deterioration, sedimentation, and to ensure unhampered irrigation service.

  • Oiental Mindoro - The Baco-Bucayao River Irrigation System (BBRIS), located in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro, is operated and maintained by the Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO). It is loved and admired by citizens for its clear water. This irrigation system, with a service area of 4,229 hectares, plays a vital role in supporting agricultural activities for 2,787 farmers.

    Engineering and Operations Division Manager Lowell L. Lozano in behalf of Acting Regional Manager Cervantes emphasized that there should have a close coordination between and among the employees of engineering, operations, administrative and finance to address the gaps between existing projects, activities and procurement.
