  • Oriental Mindoro - With the theme “The Gift of Blood is the Gift of Life,” NIA MIMAROPA led by Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes carries out the Simultaneous Blood Letting Activity on May 25, 2023 at NIA Covered Court, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. This is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the agency. The activity is in partnership with the Oriental Mindoro Blood Council. NIA Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Officer (IMO) and Palawan IMO also conducted the activity in their respective offices.

  • Palawan - As the effects of climate change become more apparent, farmers in Narra, Palawan also struggle to cope with changing weather patterns, in response, the Malatgao Batang-Batang River Irrigation System’s (MBBRIS) office implemented an early cropping schedule ahead of the normal planting season for the Irrigators Associations (IAs) of Malatgao River Irrigation System (RIS).

  • Palawan - The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) - Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO), headed by Division Manager Armando L. Flores, organized NIA-IA Inter-agency Forum in Puerto Princesa City for Irrigators Associations (IAs) of National Irrigation System (NIS) and Communal Irrigation System (CIS) in the province.

    The objective was to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information between stakeholders and various government agencies in context of developing comprehensive action plan to mitigate the effects of El Nino Phenomenon.

The two-day activity aims to help the Equipment Management Unit personnel to fully understand their roles and responsibilities attaining the agency’s Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives, and know the ways in accomplishing all equipment related forms and reports.

  • Oriental Mindoro - To discuss the plans and programs in preparation for 2023 Wet Season and effects of El Niño, NIA Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon Irrigation Management Office (IMO) headed by Engr. Gerardo R. Perez conducts the inter-agency convergence meeting with the Irrigators’ Associations (IA) and representative from different lined agencies.

  • Puerto Princesa City, Palawan - To ensure continuity and efficient delivery of irrigation services, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA held the turnover of leadership for Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) on May 11, 2023, in Puerto Princesa City.

    The event featured a transition of management between the outgoing Division Manager Fidel P. Martinez, and the incoming Division Manager Armando L. Flores. This marked a new chapter in the agency's growth and development to continually serve Filipino farmers in the province.

  • Oriental Mindoro - As part of the ongoing effort to maintain strong internal controls and to ensure compliance with the agency’s policies and regulations, the NIA Central Office-Internal Audit Services (IAS) Team led by Chief Internal Control Officer Ms. Maria Kathleen E. Barbosa, Senior Internal Control Officer A Ms. Janice T. Luyun and Mr. Melvincent C. Cablayan, and Senior Internal Control Officer B Ms. Alyssa P.

  • Oriental Mindoro - To mitigate the possible effects of El Niño, NIA MIMAROPA headed by Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes, convenes the technical personnel on May 8, 2023 at Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Conference Room, Bayanan II, Calapan City through online platform.

  • Oriental Mindoro - As part of the NIA MIMAROPA 12th Anniversary, the agency headed by Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes distributed packed goods to the families of the fisherfolks affected by oil spill on April 28, 2023.

    Over 131 families in Barangay Zone 1, Pola, Oriental Mindoro were very much thankful for the relief goods handed over to them.
