  • NIA MIMAROPA welcomes 2017 thru blowing bubbles

    Oriental Mindoro - With the theme “Ushering in 2017: A New Beginning”, National Irrigation Administration (NIA) conducted a nationwide simultaneous ceremony to welcome 2017 through “Blowing Bubbles” last January 3, 2017. This is to demonstrate the agency’s readiness to face its new challenge: a shift from being a corporate agency to a developmental/social agency. All NIA employees wore different shades of  green which symbolizes fresh beginning.

  • NIA MIMAROPA inaugurates new office establishments

    Oriental Mindoro - To promote the good image of National Irrigation Administration (NIA) and to ensure a conducive environment for its employees and guests, the agency headed by Acting Regional Manager Ramon A. Bugacia inaugurates the newly-renovated canteen, dormitory and guest house on December 22, 2016 at NIA Compound, Bayanan II, Calapan City. Said activity is part of the Christmas celebration of NIA.

  • 83 farmers to benefit from P21M Small Irrigation Project

    Oriental Mindoro - Eighty three (83) farmers will benefit from the P21M newly-constructed Water Tacligan small irrigation project (SIP) of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) at Baco, Oriental Mindoro. This will cover the 240 hectares of municipalities of Baco and San Teodoro and will get its water from Matulin River.

    Water Tacligan SIP is pump irrigation type where construction was started on May 2014 and was completed last September 2015. This aims to help increase rice production and water delivery including prevention of flooding on the service area.

  • When two become one: Elvita, Taritien, Malatgao Farmers IA climbs to the top

    Palawan - Inactive and incapable officers leading to poor performance. This was the situation of the two IAs: Bataris sa Patubigan and Katiwala sa Patubigan before they combined to attain a more improved irrigation creating Elvita, Taritien, Malatgao (ETM) Farmers Irrigators Association.

    Experiencing failure didn’t stop the IA; it even pushed them to gear up and climb to the top.

  • Engr. Ramon Bugacia takes office as NIA IV-B Acting Regional Manager

    Oriental Mindoro - “Magkaroon tayo ng teamwork. Walang magagawa ang RM without the support of the base (staff).”

    This was the statement of Engr. Ramon A. Bugacia when he takes office as the new acting regional manager of National Irrigation Administration Region IV-B last January 7, 2016. Welcomed by the regional office staff, an orientation was conducted at NIA Conference Room, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro to present the current status of the agency.

  • CARP irrigation projects, pinasinayaan sa Palawan

    Palawan - Pinasinayaan ng NIA Region IV-B ang 2 irrigation projects sa ilalim ng Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program-Agrarian Reform Fund (CARP-ARF) at Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Project III (ARISP III) na ginanap noong ika-26 ng Hulyo, 2016 sa Roxas, Palawan. Ito ay ang Abaroan-Bantoto Communal Irrigation Project (ABCIP) na mapapakinabangan ng 36 na magsasaka at Mendoza Communal Irrigation Project (MCIP) na inaasahang mapakinabangan ng 38 na magsasaka mula sa mga bayan ng Roxas.

  • NIA distributes 26 pump engines to Occidental Mindoro farmers

    Occidental Mindoro - National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (IMO) distributed 26 pump engines to farmers of Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro. Said activity was part of the turnover ceremony of Tanyag Pump Irrigation Project (PIP) held last June 24, 2016.

  • NIA IV-B conducts first quality assurance and materials testing seminar for engineers

    Oriental Mindoro - To equip NIA IV-B engineers engaged in construction management of infrastructure projects with essential knowledge in ensuring quality structures, NIA IV-B conducted its first seminar on Quality Assurance and Materials Testing last August 24-26, 2016 at NIA IA Training Center, Bayanan II, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. Said activity was participated by engineers from five provinces of the region.

  • FMD manager heads NIA IV-B financial management assessment

    Oriental Mindoro - Financial Management Department (FMD) Manager Editha D. Morales heads the first ever NIA IV-B financial management assessment and orientation seminar workshop held last September 14-16, 2016 at Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro. With her are facilitators from Budget and Revenue Division Acting Manager Sylvia L. Leaño, Cash Division Manager Casiana C. Saludaga and Accounting Division representative Julita T. Rondon.

  • NIA IV-B O&M personnel undergo systems' operation and management training

    Oriental Mindoro - To develop appropriate Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude (KSA) in the formulation and preparation of Cropping Calendar-Pattern of Planting (CCPP), Water Delivery and Distribution (WDD) plan, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) plan, NIA Region V-B O&M personnel undergoes the Systems’ Operation Management training last September 7-9, 2016 at NIA IA Training Center, Bayanan II, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.
