Rizal, Palawan - The Malapandeg Farmers Irrigators’ Association, Inc. in Punta Baja, Dr. Jose P. Rizal, Palawan, underwent a field evaluation and validation conducted by the National Irrigation Administration-Central Office on June 4, 2024. The evaluation results will determine the IA’s qualifications for the Annual Search for National Outstanding Irrigators’ Association Performers in the Communal Irrigation System category.

Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro - On May 23, 2024, at the Office of the Regional Manager Conference Room in Bayanan 2, the NIA MIMAROPA, led by Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes, and YCC Enterprise, OPC, officially signed a contract for the procurement of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, molluscicide, and insecticides worth 44 million pesos. These inputs are intended for sixty (60) Irrigators Associations (IAs) across the region, as part of the Contract Farming scheme under the NIA Farming Support Program.

Oriental Mindoro - Under the supervision of NIA MIMAROPA Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes, the NIA Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO) distributed 1,165 bags (3 kg/bag) of Hybrid Rice Seeds to five local Irrigators' Associations. The distribution was led by NIA MOMARO IMO Acting Division Manager Engr. Maria Victoria O. Malenab and attended by Pula-Bansud RIS Head Bienvenido S. Anterola, Senior Irrigators’ Development Officer Ailyn E. Aquino, and Agronomist A Jonalyn M. Umali.

Sta. Cruz, Occidental Mindoro - Twelve Irrigators Associations from Sta. Cruz, Occidental Mindoro joined forces in a significant community effort to support the PBBM KADIWA PROGRAM through an initiative titled 'Lingap sa Mamamayan ng Sta. Cruz.' These Irrigators Associations are currently displaying their rice for the community's benefit, selling it for only 35 pesos per kilo at Sta. Cruz Municipal Gymnasium, Mulawin. This event aims to provide quality and affordable rice to the community.
