  • Occidental Mindoro - National Irrigation Administration (NIA) – Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (OMIMO), headed by Division Manager Raymundo L. Calusin, initiated a coordination meeting with Mayor Cesar M. Tria Jr., of Magsaysay last August 1, 2023, to discuss important projects that the Local Government Unit (LGU) of the said municipality initially requested to NIA. The meeting involved the discussion of the provision of Solar Pump Irrigation, and Concreting and Re-gravelling of Service Roads/Farm-to-Market Road.

  • Oriental Mindoro - The NIA Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Operations Unit responded to the heavy siltation and sedimentation caused by Typhoon Egay and Typhoon Falcon by conducting desiltation activities at the Mulawin Dam. These efforts play a crucial role in maintaining a reliable water supply for irrigation, restoring the system's functionality, and safeguarding against potential water shortages.

Calusin last July 27, 2023, at NIA Training Center, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

  • Oriental Mindoro - To bring agriculture and fishery extension services closer to the people, the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro initiated a convergence meeting aimed to strengthen the collaboration among the Department of Agriculture, Local Government Units, Academe, Private Sectors, and other Government Agencies including the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) in boosting agriculture and fisheries growth in the countryside.

  • Palawan - The NIA MIMAROPA, Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) facilitated a successful marketing agreement between Ibato Iraan Farmer Irrigators Association (FIA) and Butterfly Eco Garden and Tribal Village tourist destination in Puerto Princesa City. This initiative aligns with Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program by helping the IAs increase their income and provide sustainable livelihood opportunities.

  • Oriental Mindoro - To develop and maintain irrigation systems in support of the government's agricultural program while ensuring sustainable irrigation services, NIA, IA, and other lined agencies collaborated for a Tree Planting Activity to preserve watersheds.

    Under the leadership of NIA MIMAROPA Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, the Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO), headed by Division Manager Gerardo R. Perez, conducted a tree planting activity on July 25, 2023.
