Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro - On May 23, 2024, at the Office of the Regional Manager Conference Room in Bayanan 2, the NIA MIMAROPA, led by Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes, and YCC Enterprise, OPC, officially signed a contract for the procurement of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, molluscicide, and insecticides worth 44 million pesos. These inputs are intended for sixty (60) Irrigators Associations (IAs) across the region, as part of the Contract Farming scheme under the NIA Farming Support Program.
The supply and delivery of these farm inputs are scheduled for next week and will be managed through the Irrigation Management Offices (IMOs) of Mindoro Oriental – Marinduque – Romblon (MOMARO), Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan, ensuring distribution to each IA.
Present at the contract signing were YCC Enterprise, OPC authorized representative Mr. Patrick A. Ting, Engineering and Operations Division Manager Engr. Lowell L. Lozano, Officer-in-Charge of the Finance Section Ma. Eloisa M. Tuerto, Operations Unit Head Engr. Edgard Laurenz M. Geronimo, resident lawyer Atty. Norileisha R. Atienza, and members of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC).
