Oriental Mindoro - The NIA MIMAROPA Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon Irrigation Management Office (IMO) is actively implementing Administrator Engr. Eduardo Eddie G. Guillen’s Rice Contract Farming Scheme. Farm inputs for participating Irrigators' Associations (IAs) in Oriental Mindoro recently arrived, delivered between May 31 and June 1, 2024, at the NIA Covered Court in Bayanan II, Calapan City.
Supplied by YCC Enterprise at a total value of Php 6.85 million, the farm inputs include fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides,insecticides, and molluscicides. These supplies are intended for eleven IAs with 193 participating farmers across the province.
This initiative directly supports the government's program for rice self-sufficiency by aiming to accelerate, improve, and sustain quality rice production.
