Cervantes and Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Division Manager Engr. Armando L. Flores, conducted a pre-plugging and pre-final inspection for contract no. SRIPD-C-20RW, the construction of the Ibato Iraan earth fill dam and its appurtenant structures.

  • Palawan - NIA MIMAROPA Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes and Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Division Manager Engr. Armando L. Flores held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the lateral AN from the CY 2024 Malatgao River Irrigation System (RIS) project in the municipality of Aborlan.

    This milestone included the construction of 116 meters of canal lining and 6 meters of road crossing to support irrigation across 598 hectares of farmland in Aborlan, Palawan.

  • Bansud, Oriental Mindoro - On July 11, 2024, under the supervision of NIA MIMAROPA Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes and NIA Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Acting Division Manager Engr. Maria Victoria O. Malenab, the Sumviltad Irrigators Association, Inc. conducted the first harvest under the National Irrigation Administration's (NIA) Contract Farming Program, part of the Seguridad sa Pagkain Tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas Program.

  • The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA region conducted its 2nd Quarter Performance Review of Physical and Financial Accomplishment on July 10, 2024  at the NIA Training Center in Bayanan II, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. This three-day activity aims to assess the region's performance against the defined workplan for CY 2024. It will also assist in developing strategies to expedite construction, operation, and maintenance processes, ultimately achieving the agency's set goals for the year.

  • As part of the National Irrigation Administration's (NIA) 61st anniversary, NIA MIMAROPA Joined the Nationwide Simultaneous Tree Planting Activity of MIMAROPA with the theme "Sibol Para sa Patubig ni BayaNIAn 2024" on July 5, 2024. This initiative directly addresses the conservation and rehabilitation of watersheds, emphasizing the importance of restoring these vital sources of irrigation.

  • Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro - The NIA Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO), along with participating irrigators' associations, launched the "Kadiwa sa NIA" program on July 4, 2024.

    This initiative aims to benefit the consumers in the community. Farmers offer rice at an affordable price of Php 29.00 per kilo, alongside a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. The event took place in front of the Pula Bansud RIS office, Brgy. Zone 3.

  • Oriental Mindoro - On July 4, 2024, the NIA Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO) held the inauguration of the Pula River Irrigation System (RIS) Dam, marking a significant milestone in agricultural development. The project, improvement of Pula RIS including automation of sluice gates, is valued at Php 50 million and aims to benefit a service area of 3,463.73 hectares, supporting 2,393 farmers.

  • San Jose, Occidental Mindoro - Fifty (50) employees from the Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (OMIMO) participated in the "Interpersonal Communication, Technical Writing, and Analytical & Creative Thinking Competency Training Program for CY 2024", held on June 26, 2024, at the NIA Training Center in San Roque.
