  • Quezon City - NIA MIMAROPA Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes attends the 3rd Quarter Economic Development Committee (EDC) Meeting at South Triangle, Quezon City on August 3, 2023.

    Present also during the event were EDC Chairperson Boac Mayor Armi D.C. Carrion, EDC Co-Chairperson Delfin M. Natal, Jr., Regional Development Council (RDC) Vice Chairperson Agustin C.   • San Jose, Occidental Mindoro - On August 1, 2023, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) - Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (OMIMO) joined NIA MIMAROPA in giving the loyalty award to selected employees at NIA Training Center, San Jose. The loyalty award program is part of NIA’s initiative to honor employees who have displayed unwavering loyalty and dedicated service to the agency over the years.

  • Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro - Administered by Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, seven (7) newly-appointed employees of NIA MIMAROPA took their oath of office on August 1, 2023 at NIA-IA Training Center, Bayanan II, Calapan City.

  • Occidental Mindoro - National Irrigation Administration (NIA) - Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (OMIMO) successfully conducted the 1st Joint Coordination Meeting with Engineering and Operations Section under the leadership of newly returned Division Manager Raymundo L. Calusin last July 27, 2023, at NIA Training Center, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

  • Oriental Mindoro - To bring agriculture and fishery extension services closer to the people, the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro initiated a convergence meeting aimed to strengthen the collaboration among the Department of Agriculture, Local Government Units, Academe, Private Sectors, and other Government Agencies including the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) in boosting agriculture and fisheries growth in the countryside.

  • Palawan - The NIA MIMAROPA, Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) facilitated a successful marketing agreement between Ibato Iraan Farmer Irrigators Association (FIA) and Butterfly Eco Garden and Tribal Village tourist destination in Puerto Princesa City. This initiative aligns with Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program by helping the IAs increase their income and provide sustainable livelihood opportunities.

  • Oriental Mindoro - To develop and maintain irrigation systems in support of the government's agricultural program while ensuring sustainable irrigation services, NIA, IA, and other lined agencies collaborated for a Tree Planting Activity to preserve watersheds.

    Under the leadership of NIA MIMAROPA Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, the Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO), headed by Division Manager Gerardo R. Perez, conducted a tree planting activity on July 25, 2023.

  • Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro - The recent impact of Typhoon Egay has resulted in the accumulation of an extensive amount of wood debris and logs in irrigation canals, posing a potential risk to agricultural production. As part of the National Irrigation Administration’s (NIA) commitment to ensure efficient water management  to the Filipino farmers, the NIA - Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (OMIMO), under the directive of MIMAROPA Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes and with the supervision of Division Manager Raymundo L.

  • Sofronio Española, Palawan - In a groundbreaking move towards sustainable agriculture, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA Region under the leadership of Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes and Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) headed by Division Manager Armando L. Flores breaks ground on July 21, 2023, for the phase I construction of Panisiran Solar Pump Irrigation Project (SPIP) with funding amount of ₱20 million from the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program-Irrigation Component (CARP IC).
