    Palawan - The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) – MIMAROPA Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes inspected the ₱10 million irrigation project at Malatgao RIS on March 16, 2023, to assess the improvement of the ongoing construction of canal lining and canal structures of the north main canal sub-lateral 1 sta. 0+170 - 0+512 and sub-lateral 2 sta. 0+000 – 0+1148 in Narra, Palawan.

  • NIA MIMAROPA MANAGER COORDINATES WITH BUCOR PALAWAN FOR PROPOSED REPAIR OF INAGAWAN CIS

    Palawan - To take immediate steps for the repair and strengthening of the irrigation system, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) – MIMAROPA Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes held a coordination meeting with Superintendent Gary A. Garcia RC, MSCA of the Bureau of Corrections (BUCOR) Palawan at Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm in Puerto Princesa City on March 16, 2023, to discuss the proposed repair of the Inagawan Communal Irrigation System (CIS).

    Oriental MIndoro - In celebration of the National Women’s Month, NIA MIMAROPA, headed by Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, Engineering and Operations Division Manager Lowell L. Lozano and Administrative and Finance Division Manager Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron, conducts the Training on Sex-Disaggregated Data and Gender Statistics & the Establishment of GAD Database on March 24, 2023.

  • Regional Manager Cervantes inspects project in Victoria, Oriental Mindoro

    Oriental Mindoro - NIA Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes inspects the electro-mechanization of steel gates and construction of protection works at Borbocolon Dam, Poblacion II, Victoria, Oriental Mindoro during his field visit on March 11, 2023. With him are the Project-in-Charge Engr. John Rey Oprido and the contractor.

    Acting Regional Manager Cervantes advised the contractor to complete the project until the end of March, 2023 to start irrigating the farmland of the farmer beneficiaries in the municipality.

  • Regional Manager Cervantes led the RFIA Election of Officers

    Oriental Mindoro - NIA MIMAROPA Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes led the MIMAROPA Regional Federation of Irrigators’ Association (RFIA) Election of Officers on March 9, 2023 at the NIA MIMAROPA Training Center, Bayanan II, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. This activity aims to elect new set of officers of IA in the MIMAROPA Regional level. Moreover, this activity aims to conduct the first BOT Meeting of RFIA as these officers will represent and serve as a channel to the interest of all IAs in the region.

  • NIA MIMAROPA Joins 1st Quarter 2023 NSED

    Oriental Mindoro - NIA MIMAROPA headed by Acting Regional Manager Ronie Cervantes participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for 1st Quarter of CY 2023 on March 9, 2023, 2:00 PM.

    All NIA MIMAROPA employees practiced the six (6) components to an Earthquake Drill: Alarm, Response (Duck, Cover and Hold), Evacuation, Assembly, Head Count or Roll Call and the Evaluation.

    Oriental Mindoro - NIA MIMAROPA Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes administered the oath-taking ceremony of seven (7) newly-promoted and appointed employees of NIA MIMAROPA Regional Office on March 9, 2023 at the NIA Training Center, Bayanan II, Calapan City.

Cervantes at NIA Training Center, San Roque, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. Together with Technical and Operations staff headed by Acting Division Manager Maria Victoria O. Malenab, update on the status of carry over and current projects as per commitment set by the IMO were discussed.

    Occidental Mindoro - Occidental Mindoro IMO spearheads NIA-LGU Coordination Meeting at NIA- Training Center, San Roque, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro yesterday February 28, 2023. This activity aims to update Systems inventory and finalize the Provincial Irrigation Master Plan of Occidental Mindoro. The said activity was attended by the Municipal Agriculturist and Municipal Planning and Development Officers of Magsaysay, Paluan, Calintaan and Rizal.

Cervantes leads the Ceremonial Turnover of the P1.9-million augmentation pump of Baco-Bucayao River Irrigation System (BBRIS) in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.
