Palawan - The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) – MIMAROPA Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes inspected the ₱10 million irrigation project at Malatgao RIS on March 16, 2023, to assess the improvement of the ongoing construction of canal lining and canal structures of the north main canal sub-lateral 1 sta. 0+170 - 0+512 and sub-lateral 2 sta. 0+000 – 0+1148 in Narra, Palawan.

Cervantes inspects the electro-mechanization of steel gates and construction of protection works at Borbocolon Dam, Poblacion II, Victoria, Oriental Mindoro during his field visit on March 11, 2023. With him are the Project-in-Charge Engr. John Rey Oprido and the contractor.
Acting Regional Manager Cervantes advised the contractor to complete the project until the end of March, 2023 to start irrigating the farmland of the farmer beneficiaries in the municipality.

Cervantes led the MIMAROPA Regional Federation of Irrigators’ Association (RFIA) Election of Officers on March 9, 2023 at the NIA MIMAROPA Training Center, Bayanan II, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. This activity aims to elect new set of officers of IA in the MIMAROPA Regional level. Moreover, this activity aims to conduct the first BOT Meeting of RFIA as these officers will represent and serve as a channel to the interest of all IAs in the region.
