NIA MIMAROPA REGION HOLDS TURNOVER OF LEADERSHIP FOR PALAWAN IMO

Puerto Princesa City, Palawan - To ensure continuity and efficient delivery of irrigation services, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA held the turnover of leadership for Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) on May 11, 2023, in Puerto Princesa City.

The event featured a transition of management between the outgoing Division Manager Fidel P. Martinez, and the incoming Division Manager Armando L. Flores. This marked a new chapter in the agency's growth and development to continually serve Filipino farmers in the province.

Both leaders have been with NIA for more than three (3) decades with an extensive background in irrigation management.

Deputy Administrator for Engineering and Operations Sector C’zar M. Sulaik, who presided the ceremony, imparted his gratitude to Engr. Martinez for his dedication and hard work in leading Palawan IMO for 8 months.

He also expressed confidence that Engr. Flores will continue to uphold the agency's mandate of providing efficient and sustainable irrigation services to farmers and commended NIA personnel for their hard work, dedication, and commitment toward achieving the NIA’s goal with hope that such initiatives will carry on for years to come.

This shift of leadership signals opportunity for growth and new strategies that aim to continue the best irrigation services and support the attainment of the 7-point Strategic Policy Direction of NIA Administrator Engr. Eduardo “Eddie” G. Guillen.

Lopez, Engineering and Operations Division Manager Engr. Lowell L. Lozano, Administrative and Finance Division Manager Ms. Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron, Central and Regional CARP Technical Personnel, Ibato-Iraan Resident Engineer Gil C. Padua, and employees of NIA Region IV-A and MIMAROPA.
