Oriental Mindoro - NIA MIMAROPA headed by Acting Regional Manager Ronie Cervantes participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for 1st Quarter of CY 2023 on March 9, 2023, 2:00 PM.
All NIA MIMAROPA employees practiced the six (6) components to an Earthquake Drill: Alarm, Response (Duck, Cover and Hold), Evacuation, Assembly, Head Count or Roll Call and the Evaluation.
The conduct of quarterly NSED is one of the government's efforts to promote disaster preparedness and resilience among communities to reduce the casualties and possible impacts of a devastating earthquake.
