Oriental Mindoro - Recently, Typhoon Egay and Typhoon Falcon have caused devastating effects, leaving behind heavy siltation and sediments in the Baco-Bucayao River Irrigation System dam in Brgy. Mulawin, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro. This affects the water delivery of approximately 4,142 hectares of farmland in Naujan and Calapan City and could result in an estimated loss of 29 million in costs of standing crops.

Rodriguez received the cash award of P50,000 for Top Performing Irrigators’ Association under CARP category during the flag ceremony of NIA MIMAROPA on August 7, 2023 at NIA Compound, Bayanan II, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. Occidental Mindoro - With the support of NIA MIMAROPA Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes and under the guidance of Division Manager Raymundo L. Calusin, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) – Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (OMIMO), received a comprehensive orientation from Philinstrument Corporation at NIA Compound in San Jose. The orientation focused on the proper handling and utilization of the recently acquired Electronic Prismless Total Station surveying equipment.

Sta. Maria, Romblon - In a ceremony held on August 1, 2023, NIA MIMAROPA under the leadership of Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, the Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO) headed by Division Manager Gerardo R. Perez, officially turned over the P5-million Concepcion Sur Communal Irrigation System-Solar Pump Irrigation Project (CIS-SPIP) to 22 farmers in the municipality of Sta. Maria in Romblon.
This project has a service area of 10 hectares located at Brgy. Concepcion Sur in the said municipality.

Tria Jr., of Magsaysay last August 1, 2023, to discuss important projects that the Local Government Unit (LGU) of the said municipality initially requested to NIA. The meeting involved the discussion of the provision of Solar Pump Irrigation, and Concreting and Re-gravelling of Service Roads/Farm-to-Market Road.
