Puerto Princesa City - The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA, Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) conducted a seminar-workshop on Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) training for Operation and Technical Personnel. The event aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of staff in promoting gender equality and mainstreaming gender perspectives in the agency’s projects and programs.
During the HGDG training, Gender Empowerment Consultancy Advocacy Firm (GECAF) President Dr. Renifer R. Francisco provided valuable insights about gender analysis and identification of gender issues at the program or project level application of the HGDG Project Design and Project Implementation, Management, Monitoring and Evaluation (PIMME). Participants engaged in interactive sessions and group activities to deepen their understanding of the importance of gender mainstreaming and analysis. This comprehensive training equips the agency’s personnel to integrate gender perspectives effectively, ensuring that the agency’s project management addresses the specific needs of women and men alike.
