  • Oriental Mindoro - Ceremonial Turnover of Firearms led by NIA Central Office representatives and NIA MIMAROPA Regional Manager William P. Ragodon was conducted on September 10, 2020 at Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. With them are Regional and IMO management. The activity aims to strengthen peace and security of NIA officials, employees, stakeholders and properties inside the office compound.

  • Oriental Mindoro - NIA MIMAROPA headed by Regional Manager William P. Ragodon distributes personal protective equipment (PPE) to Regional Office employees on September 25, 2020 following safety protocols.

    With him are Engineering and Operations Acting Division Manager Lowell L. Lozano, Administrative and Finance Acting Division Manager Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron, Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon Irrigation Management Office (MOMARO IMO) Acting Division Manager Gerardo R. Perez and Occidental Mindoro IMO Acting Division Manager Raymundo C. Calusin.

  • Farmers benefit from energy-efficient irrigation projects in MIMAROPA. These projects are Magbay Pump Irrigation Project (PIP), Maligaya PIP and Armaca PIP in Occidental Mindoro, Isumbo PIP in Palawan and Cabugao PIP in Marinduque which are all solar-powered pump irrigation projects. Using sun as source of power, the projects are energy-efficient and there is minimal to no dependence on diesel and gasoline which are very helpful to farmers and the environment.

  • Oriental Mindoro - Due to the surge of COVID-19 cases in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, the city is placed under the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) from August 13-26, 2020 pursuant to NTF Memorandum Circular No. 2 s. 2020 and RIATF Resolution No. 12 s. 2020. NIA MIMAROPA, headed by Regional Manager William P. Ragodon, immediately implemented alternate working arrangement for its employees including those of Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon Irrigation Management Office (MOMARO IMO).

  • Oriental Mindoro - NIA MIMAROPA headed by Regional Manager William P. Ragodon joined the NIA 1st Managers’ Conference on August 12-14, 2020 via teleconferencing. With him are Engineering and Operations Acting Division Manager Lowell L. Lozano, Administrative and Finance Acting Division Manager Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron, MOMARO IMO Acting Division Manager Gerardo R. Perez, Occ. Mindoro IMO Acting Division Manager Raymundo C. Calusin and other technical staff.

  • Oriental Mindoro - Samahang Magbubukid at Magpapatubig ng Dangay Cantil at San Jose, Roxas Inc. conducted sector meeting following safety protocols like physical distancing and wearing of face mask. Headed by their IA President, Mr. Jaime Manalo, and with guest Dangay Barangay Captain, irrigation programs were discussed and supported by local government. The IA President expressed his gratitude for the irrigation projects of NIA to help the farmers have sufficient supply of sustainable water and help increase rice crop production.

  • Oriental Mindoro – Adhering to IATF policies and other health safety protocols, NIA MIMAROPA joins the simple celebration of NIA 57th Anniversary on June 22, 2020.

    Ensuring the 2-meter social distancing, a thanksgiving mass was conducted led by Rev Fr. Rafael Gomez, SVD followed by a simultaneous video presentation prepared by the Public Affairs and Information Staff (PAIS) Central Office. The said video contains various anniversary greetings from NIA Top Management, Cabinet Secretary Karlos Nograles, Senator Cynthia Villar and President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

  • Oriental Mindoro - With the current public health emergency in the country, NIA MIMAROPA ensures to provide irrigation services to secure food sufficiency particularly in the region as irrigation is a vital input in agriculture and food production.

  • Palawan - Pangobilian Irrigator’s Association (IA) of Palawan Irrigation Management Office (PIMO) utilizes NIA subsidy coming from canal clearing activities to distribute food packs for 200 farmers affected by Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in the municipality of Brooke’s Pt., Palawan.

    The food aid distribution was after the approval of the said IA officials and members to use few of their subsidy savings to support farmers covered within the service area of Tigaplan Communal Irrigation System (CIS) irrigating 500 hectares of rice field in town.
