  • Oriental Mindoro – Pursuant to the directive of NIA Administrator Ricardo R Visaya and as stated in NIA Memorandum Circular No. 53 s 2020, NIA MIMAROPA Regional Manager William P. Ragodon undertakes resumption of irrigation construction through the Contractors’ Forum conducted at Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. This is conducted before deployment of NIA and contractors’ personnel in the field.

  • The National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) every March is part of the worldwide observance of the International Women’s Day. The following issuances serve as legal bases for the annual national activity:

  • Occidental Mindoro - Like other provinces in the North, planting of other crops aside from palay is suitable to Occidental Mindoro especially during Dry Season. One of those crops is Onion.

  • Oriental Mindoro - GSIS representative Ms. Lorelie A. Certon oriented the employees of NIA MIMAROPA Regional Office and MOMARO IMO about their new financial assistance program - GSIS Financial Assistance Loan (GFAL) including managing one’s finances on February 17, 2020.  

  • The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) will rebid the P326-million irrigation project in Aborlan, Palawan this September 2019 according to NIA Administrator Ricardo R Visaya. This is the Ibato-Iraan Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (SRIP).

    The said project is a zone earthfill dam with a reservoir storage capacity of 2.388 MCM which will irrigate about 860 hectares of farmlands in the four barangays of Sagpangan, Ibato, Iraan and Maligaya. The source of water will come from Ibato and Iraan River.

  • Palawan - Super Typhoon Yolanda was one of the most powerful and strongest storms ever recorded which incurred the most devastating damages not just in the Philippines but in Southeast Asia. In our country, aside from Tacloban City, municipalities of Coron and Busuanga in Palawan were also heavily damaged. Around 360 hectares and 201 farmer beneficiaries were affected by the said typhoon. The total damage to irrigation facilities amounted to 10.5 million pesos.

  • Quezon City - Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon ay pinarangalan ang National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA Regional Office at Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) sa naganap na ika-56 anibersaryo ng ahensya noong Hunyo 21, 2019.

    Ang NIA MIMAROPA ay itinanghal bilang Regional Office of the Year at ang Palawan ay Irrigation Management Office of the Year.
