Oriental Mindoro - Turnover of Leadership for the management of Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) IMO was conducted on May 27, 2021 presided by Regional Manager William P. Ragodon.
Pursuant to NIA Office Memorandum No. 54 and 56 series of 2021, Engr. Gerardo R. Perez was re-assigned as Division Manager of Laguna-Rizal IMO while Engr. Maria Victoria O. Malenab was designated as Acting Division Manager of MOMARO IMO.
Oriental Mindoro - Chairman of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Zero Hunger and Chairman of the NIA Board Karlo Alexei P. Nograles visited NIA MIMAROPA on May 25, 2021 and emphasized the significance of the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) in helping mitigate hunger, ensure food and nutrition security, and reduce poverty in urban and rural communities, including marginalized communities. He was welcomed by NIA MIMAROPA Regional Management headed by Regional Manager William P.
Oriental Mindoro - With the support of Regional Manager William P. Ragodon, NIA MIMAROPA conducts the Gender Sensitivity Training (GST) on May 11, 2021 as part of the gender mainstreaming efforts of the agency. The activity further aims to promote gender equality/equity in the organization and community, heighten appreciation on GAD, and improve awareness on GAD and continuously develop human resources and their capabilities relative to NIA Administrator’s 4-point agenda.
Oriental Mindoro - NIA, particularly the Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO), continues the campaign for the payment of Irrigation Service Fee (ISF) pursuant to Republic Act 10969 otherwise known as Free Irrigation Service Act (FISA). ISF refers to the charge or levy being imposed upon non-exempt users of irrigation water and services provided by an irrigation system.

Occidental Mindoro - NIA Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (IMO) headed by Acting Division Manager Raymundo L. Calusin conducts test run of the newly-completed irrigation project on February 9, 2021 – the Cabagan Small Irrigation Project (SIP). The project was completed on February 6, 2021.
Cabagan SIP is a P30.25-million project located in the municipality of Sta. Cruz which includes the construction of canal lining and canal structures. The project has generated an area of 200 hectares that will benefit 60 farmers of the said municipality.
Oriental Mindoro - NIA MIMAROPA welcomes the year with optimism and happiness as showcased in the NIA Aperture Optimism Board for the ushering on January 12, 2021. The activity is led by Regional Manager William P. Ragodon together with the Division Managers of Regional Office and Irrigation Management Offices (IMOs).
Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei B. Nograles and National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Top Management, Administrator Ricardo R Visaya and Senior Deputy Administrator Abraham B Bagasin join the virtual Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) orientation in MIMAROPA particularly NIA Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon Irrigation Management Office (MOMARO IMO) and Palawan IMO on November and December 2020. The said activities were attended by officials and members of various Irrigators Association (IA) and other stakeholders in Oriental Mindoro and Palawan.
As part of the commitment of the Irrigators Associations (IAs) to the Irrigation Management Transfer (IMT) contract with the National Irrigation Administration (NIA), IAs continue the management of irrigation systems despite the COVID-19 pandemic. These activities involve operation and maintenance (O&M) activities of existing national and communal irrigation systems in the region.
