Occidental Mindoro - In a recent address during the Regional IA Congress in Occidental Mindoro, NIA Administrator Eduardo Eddie G. Guillen outlined the agency's strategies for supporting farmers and advancing national development. These strategies involve setting up strong agricultural cooperative per municipality and collaborating with other government agencies on convergence programs as part of the Agency’s holistic approach to address the multifaceted needs of farmers.
Furthermore, there will be efforts to enhance the Farmland Geographic Information Systems (FGIS) to facilitate more effective agricultural land productivity. The Administrator also emphasized that NIA not only provides irrigation services but also offers farm assistance, stressing the importance of collaboration with other government bodies.
