Palawan - Forty-four (44) farmers of the West Marangas Farmers Irrigator’s Association (IA) in Bataraza, Palawan are rejoicing for the nearest fulfillment of a long-time wish: irrigation for 94 hectares of land. After years of relying on rainfall and spring as the sole source of hydration for their crops, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA)- Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program – Irrigation Component (CARP-IC) has stepped into the province of Palawan to construct Marangas II Communal Irrigation Project (CIP) in town.

Makati City  -  NIA MIMAROPA Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes and Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Acting Division Manager Maria Victoria O. Malenab attended the Occidental Mindoro Strategic Planning in Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City on February 27, 2023. 

Occidental Mindoro - To ensure efficient and reliable irrigation development programs, the NIA Occidental Mindoro IMO conducted NIA-IA Consultation Workshop last February 7-8, 2023. This was held in two batches, the MAPSSA Area which include IAs in the municipalities of Mamburao, Abra de Ilog, Paluan, Sta. Cruz and Sablayan and batch two, in SAMARICA Area comprising the municipalities of San Jose, Magsaysay, Rizal and Calintaan.

Oriental Mindoro - NIA MIMAROPA Engineering and Operations Division (EOD) Manager Lowell L. Lozano leads the Assessment of Inventory of Irrigation Systems for CY 2022, at the NIA Training Center, Bayanan II, Calapan City. The three-day activity aims to assess and update the inventory data of national, communal, private and other government agencies irrigation systems as of December 31, 2022. Moreover, this activity is vital in the overall Operation and Maintenance (O&M) performance of NIA MIMAROPA.
