NIA Internal Audit Services Begins Management Audit in MIMAROPA

Puerto Princesa City, Palawan - The Internal Audit Services (IAS) of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) commenced a comprehensive Management Audit in NIA MIMAROPA with an Entry Conference held on May 20, 2025. Hosted at the NIA Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO), the audit will focus on the Procurement Process, Recruitment and Selection Process, and Property Management Process.

NIA Palawan IMO Turns Over Water Pump to Calambiringan Irrigators Association

Española, Palawan - In a continued effort to boost agricultural productivity and strengthen local irrigation systems, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) formally turned over one (1) water pump unit, complete with engine and accessories, to the Calambiringan Irrigators Association on May 15, 2025, at Sitio Calabanog, Barangay Isumbo, Sofronio.

NIA MOMARO IMO Conducted Refresher Course on Financial Management for Over 70 Farmers of Communal Irrigation Systems

Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro-To support the sustainable operations of Irrigators Associations (IAs), the National Irrigation Administration – Mindoro Oriental, Marinduque, Romblon Irrigation Management Office (NIA MOMARO IMO) conducted a Financial Management Seminar Refresher Course on May 20, 2025, at the NIA Satellite Office.

The activity was attended by Presidents, Secretaries, and Treasurers of IAs under the Communal Irrigation System (CIS).

NIA MIMAROPA Empowers Various Irrigators Association in Southern Palawan

Palawan - In a continuous effort to ensure food security, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA in partnership with Dumangefia Manaile River IA conducted a value­ added skills training aimed at capacitating the Irrigators Association (IA) and other key stakeholder on the commercialization of ube (purple yam) commodity in Palawan.

This initiative is under the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program, designed to address hunger, nutrition, and poverty through sustainable livelihood programs.
