NIA MIMAROPA CONDUCTED 1ST QUARTER SMES FOR INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (IDP) IMPLEMENTATION

Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro - To monitor and improve the efficiency of the Institutional Development Program (IDP), NIA MIMAROPA Institutional Development Unit (IDU) conducted its 1st Quarter Supervision, Monitoring, Evaluation and Support (SMES) for IDP Implementation on April 21-23, 2025 at the Training Center, Bayanan 2.

The three - day activity aimed to assess, review, and strengthen IDP implementation across the region. Key highlights included presentation of accomplishments for the first quarter of Calendar Year 2025, challenges encountered, and insights that served as basis for monitoring and evaluation. The participants also discussed report designations and offered recommendations to further improve the program and its activities to support Irrigators Associations (IAs) and farmer beneficiaries within the region.

“For this 1st Quarter SMES, we will evaluate our accomplishments and plan how to accomplish the remaining targets for the year,” stated NIA MIMAROPA Regional Irrigation Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes. “Alam ko na kayong mga Irrigators Development Officers (IDOs) ay all around ang trabaho niyo sa NIA – kasama kayo sa planning, construction up to operation and maintenance of irrigation systems at higit sa lahat, yung tinuturuan natin ang mga Irrigators Associations (IAs). Gawin natin ang ating makakaya upang sama-sama nating maiangat ang (antas ng) kanilang pamumuhay.”

The activity was attended by regional officials and IDP Implementers. IDP Area Monitor, Community Development Officer II Ristine Christian Heart E. Navarro, and other participants from Marinduque, Romblon, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan joined virtually.
