Puerto Princesa, Palawan - To enhance the technical competencies of employees involved in irrigation infrastructure development, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA is conducting a four-day training on the preparation of Programs of Work and the Design of Canal Lining and Canal Structures from February 25-28, 2025.
Designed to reorient and refresh employees on organizational goals, the training updates their knowledge and skills, ensuring they are well-equipped for current and future tasks.
By improving technical proficiency, the training ensures that projects are well-structured, aligned with national policies, and in line with NIA’s objectives. It also enhances participants’ expertise in irrigation infrastructure design, optimizing water distribution for more efficient and sustainable irrigation systems.
This activity is made possible through the expertise and knowledge provided by the Planning, Design, and Construction Section, headed by Engr. Suzanne J. San Juan, and resource speakers Engr. Randy E. Magboo and Engr. Khen M. Rivera, with the strong support of NIA MIMAROPA’s Regional Manager, Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes; Engineering and Operations Division Manager, Engr. Lowell L. Lozano; and Palawan IMO’s Division Manager, Engr. Armando L. Flores.
