Pasay City - NIA MIMAROPA Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, participated in the 84th Full Council Meeting of the Regional Development Council (RDC) held in Pasay City on December 1, 2023.
Among the distinguished attendees were DICT Secretary and MIMAROPA Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security (CORDS) Ivan John E. Uy, Chairperson of various committees such as the Development Administration Committee (DAC), Economic Development Committee (EDC), Infrastructure and Utilities Development Committee (IUDC), Social Development Committee (SDC), Regional Research, Development, and Innovation Committee (RRDIC), and the Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC). Also in attendance were MIMAROPA Regional Directors, Governors, Municipal Mayors, and leaders from various government agencies in the MIMAROPA Region.
The purpose of the event was to present and discuss several key topics, including the Updated MIMAROPA RDIP 2023-2028 and FY 2025 AIPs, the 2023 MIMAROPA Regional Development Report, the Revitalized Pulis Barangay Act, Tamaraw Conservation and Management Action Plan, Rehabilitation/Improvement of Puerto Galera Water System Project (ER 1-94), Membership of PSR Fr. Edwin A. Gariguez to the SDC, Establishment of Local Population Development Offices, Mangyan Indigenous Peoples Development Agenda, Philippine Population and Development Plan of Action 2023-2028, Priority Commodities and R&D Projects of RIIM, Members of the MIMAROPA RPGRP, and the Schedule of CY 2024 RDC Meetings.
This gathering served as a platform for meaningful discussions on crucial regional developments and initiatives.
