UNITY IN ACTION: ACCELERATING THE BAGTINGON SMALL RESERVOIR IRRIGATION PROJECT FOR MARINDUQUE'S AGRICULTURAL PROSPERITY

Marinduque - In a concerted effort to accelerate the implementation of the Bagtingon Small Reservoir Irrigation Project, a coordination meeting was convened on April 11, 2024, at the Session Hall of the Provincial Capitol in Marinduque. Spearheaded by Governor Hon. Presbitero J. Velasco, Jr., the gathering brought together key stakeholders, including the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA Regional Director Ronilio M. Cervantes and Senior Engineer A Daniel Angelo M. Malabanan, alongside representatives from other agencies such as the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Local Government Units (LGUs), and contractors.

Throughout the meeting, participants exchanged insights, identified potential blockages, and charted a course of action designed to expedite project timelines without compromising on quality or environmental sustainability. The collective resolve to overcome obstacles and deliver tangible benefits to Marinduque's agricultural sector was profound, underscoring the unity of purpose driving the endeavor forward.
