Today, November 14, 2022 marks the first visit of the NIA MIMAROPA Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes in NIA Occidental Mindoro, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. RM Cervantes joined OMIMO employees headed by Acting Division Manager, Engr. Maria Victoria O. Malenab in flag raising ceremony from which she reminded everyone of the office’s commitments especially the submission of Program of Works. She was looking forward that the visit of RM Cervantes to OMIMO and its field offices will draw positive remarks as to the cleanliness of irrigation canal and water.
RM Cervantes stated a few reminders:
“Ako po pagdating sa trabaho ay simple. Suportahan n’yo lamang po ang mga lider n’yo to accomplish our mission, ang target po natin ay to increase irrigable area and to restore non-operational area.”
He mentioned about the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan which is the basis of genuine public service we should provide to Filipino Farmers. He also cited that we should respect and abide to NIA Memorandum Circulars issued by NIA Top Management, CSC and COA Rules and Regulations.
He shared the good news to employees: Year-End Bonus and Cash Gift were already signed and the engagement of COS/JO workers is extended until December 31, 2024 as per COA-DBM JC No. 2, s. 2022.
Aside from these, Regional Manager Cervantes also visited irrigation systems in the province particularly the ongoing rehabilitation of the Lumintao River Irrigation System in the municipality of Rizal, Occidental Mindoro.
