Occidental Mindoro - The NIA Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (IMO), headed by Acting Division Manager Maria Victoria O. Malenab, initiated the coordination meeting with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro to discuss NIA-DPWH Convergence Project “Kalsada Tungo sa Patubigan” Program.
On May 31, 2023, the NIA Team, led by Chief of Operation Section Engr. Emelito V. Urriquia, Senior Engineer J-Man Castillo, and Economist Jinky E. Santos paid a courtesy call to DPWH District Engineer Joselito A. Antonio, along with Planning Unit Chief Engr. Maria Theresa J. Palima, and discussed the latest updates on the FY 2023 NIA-DPWH Convergence Project. Specifically, they talked about the progress of the Farm-to-Market Road: Pagbahan River Irrigation System (RIS) Right Service Road project located in Brgy. Mulawin, Sta. Cruz Occidental Mindoro. The construction of the 265-meter access road commenced on February 10, 2023, and was successfully completed on April 23, 2023.
During the discussion, DE Antonio also requested the submission of documents related to the Farm-to-Market Road 5-year Implementation Program and other convergence proposals.
Following the meeting, the team proceeded to the site to conduct validation and assess the project firsthand.
