NIA PARTICIPATES IN DAR’S CLOA DISTRIBUTION AND TURNOVER OF MAMBOG-ATO SIP

Occidental Mindoro - With the support of Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, NIA Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Acting Division Manager Maria Victoria O. Malenab participated in the distribution of Certificate of Land Ownership Awards (CLOA) and turn-over of Mambog-Ato Small Irrigation Project (SIP) conducted by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR). The event was held last June 2, 2023, at the Provincial Training Center, Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro, with the theme “Pag-Asa ng Benepisyo Mindoreños”.

The program encompasses the allocation of CLOAs to 330 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), as well as 72 ARBs through the Support Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT). Additionally, the Mambog-Ato Small Irrigation Project (SIP) has been turned over to Mambog-Barahan Irrigators Inc., located in Sta. Cruz, Occidental Mindoro. The irrigation facility will supply water to 109 hectares of land which will benefit a total of 105 farmers.

In terms of farm equipment handover, the IA assisted by NIA, has obtained machinery as part of the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project. Specifically, the Samahang Magpapatubig ng Paclolo, Inc. received 6 units of water pumps while the ALPHA Alipaoy-Harrison Farmers Irrigators Association received 2-units of hand tractors.

Sadiarin Jr., DAR Asst. Secretary of Field Operations Office Atty. Marjory P. Ayson, DAR Undersecretary for Field Operations Office Atty. Kazel C. Celeste, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program OIC Engr. Isagani G. Placido, local leaders, representatives from Local Government Units (LGUs), officials from other agencies, and ARBs.
