NIA PALAWAN TO GEAR UP A SEMINAR ON PINEAPPLE AND RICE WINE PRDOUCTION FOR IA UNDER THE EPAHP PROGRAM

Narra, Palawan - To support and improve farmers' lives and combat hunger and poverty, the NIA MIMAROPA, under the management of Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes, and Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO), led by Division Manager Engr. Armando L. Flores, is set to gear up a seminar on pineapple and rice wine production for the Delta Falls Upper Lapu Lapu Irrigators Association (IA) in Narra town.

The Institutional Development Unit (IDU) had already collaborated with Professor of Home Economics Maria Eden Llavan from the Food Processing Faculty of the Western Philippine University (WPU) in Aborlan, Palawan to have expert guidance on food processing for the seminar's success.

The Agency’s goal is to equip the IA with innovative skills and methods that increase their income and improve their standard of living.

This initiative falls under the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program demonstrating a commitment to addressing food security and poverty alleviation and fostering growth and prosperity.
