San Jose, Occidental Mindoro - With the support of National Irrigation Administration (NIA) – MIMAROPA Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, the NIA - Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (OMIMO), under the leadership of Division Manager Raymundo L. Calusin, successfully carried out the CY 2023 Influenza Vaccine Immunization in accordance with NIA - Memorandum Circular No. 59, s. 2017 which pertains to the Policy Guidelines on Free Influenza Immunization among NIA Employees. The event took place at NIA- Training Center, Brgy. San Roque II last October 18, 2023.
The successful implementation of the said program is made possible through the assistance of Ms. Dianne Jane B. Garcia – Medical Director of REVCARE Diagnostic Laboratory and Diagnostic Center and a team of nurses from San Jose District Hospital. Together, they were able to administer the influenza vaccine to 58 out of 71 employees holding permanent and casual positions.
The primary objective of the free influenza vaccine is to safeguard NIA employees against the influenza virus. By receiving the vaccine, individuals can significantly reduce the chances of infection, along with the associated symptoms, complications, and the risk of transmitting the virus to others.
