NIA MIMAROPA PRIORITIZES SECURITY WITH TRAINING PROGRAM

Bansud, Oriental Mindoro - With the full support of Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes, NIA MIMAROPA conducted a training program on security services and firearm safety on April 5, 2024 at Bansud, Oriental Mindoro. This initiative focused on equipping Industrial Security Guards with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure a safe work environment. The program covered essential security protocols to prevent unauthorized access, theft, and violence.

Firearm safety was a key focus, emphasizing responsible gun handling. Guards learned proper handling techniques, safe storage practices, and the importance of adhering to local firearms laws and regulations. This comprehensive training equips them to effectively handle security situations while minimizing accidents.

The training team was led by Chief Civil Security Officer Errol Bigornia from the NIA Central Office. He was joined by Senior Administrative Assistant Linton Ngo Jr., Administrative Assistant IV Ramil Lamboloto, and Ferdinand Co. The training was graced by the presence of Engineering & Operations Division Manager Engr. Lowell L. Lozano and Administrative & Finance Division Manager Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron. NIA MIMAROPA extends its gratitude to Officer-in-Charge PLTCOL Lorenzo B. Trajano Jr. and PLTCOL Ericson N. Del Rosario of the MIMAROPA Regional Special Training Unit for their invaluable support.

Also present during the training were Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Acting Division Manager Engr. Maria Victoria O. Malenab, Palawan IMO Division Manager Engr. Armando L. Flores, Administrative Section Chief Joy U. Bautista, Human Resource Unit Head Susan R. Lozano, Procurement and Property officers led by Senior Supply Officer Leizle L. Laudencia and other concerned personnel from the Administrative Section who assisted the said training.
