Puerto Princesa City, Palawan - Under the management of NIA MIMAROPA Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Division Manager Armando L. Flores together with officials from provincial partner agencies inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) in Puerto Princesa City.

Organized by the Institutional Development Unit (IDU) headed by Sr. Irrigators’ Development Officer (IDO) Glenda G. Buenavista, this program represents a collaborative effort from various provincial partner agencies to eliminate hunger and poverty in the province and showcases their steadfast dedication to create impact and uphold the commitments and obligations outlined in the agreement.

As one of the partner agencies, the NIA MIMAROPA is dedicated to support Irrigators Associations (IAs) by providing adequate irrigation, capacity building, essential training, and facilitating connections with other key agencies. Through these efforts, the agency aims to empower local farmers by enhancing their capabilities and linking them with valuable resources and other support services.

The MOU was signed by officials and representatives from each of the participating agencies, including Palawan Provincial Office Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Hazel DP. Salvador, CESO V through her representative Mr. Persival T. Narbonita, Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Engr. Pacifico T.
