NIA MIMAROPA Conducts IDP Mid-Year Review and Planning Workshop

Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro - With the objective of evaluating the overall Institutional Development Program (IDP) performance for the first semester, the Institutional Development Unit of NIA MIMAROPA spearheads the conduct of IDP Mid-Year Review and Planning Workshop at the NIA-IA Training Center, Bayanan II, Calapan City. The three-day activity also aims to assess the following:  physical and financial accomplishment reports for the CY 2022 carry-over activities and fund balance, Irrigation Management Transfer (IMT) Program, Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP), formation of Irrigators Associations (IAs) into cooperative and Convergence Program updates and to harmonize the data in the Department of Agriculture Registry System for the Basic Sectors in Agriculture (DA-RSBSA). EOD Manager Lowell L. Lozano on behalf of Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes delivers an inspiring message to the participants and acknowledges the vital role played by the IDP implementers, considering them as true heroes as they tackle and resolve the various issues and concerns even before project implementation begins. He also echoes the challenge of Acting Regional Manager to continue their support and assistance to the IAs for them to be organizationally strong and self-reliant association. This support aims to empower the IAs, enabling them to emerge as a top-performing association nationwide in the upcoming year and beyond.

Moreover, NIA-IDD Central Office Institutional Development Division CDO III Ms. Lorna P. Villagonzalo presents and discusses the latest updates on IDP.

Present also during the activity are NIA-IDD Central Office and MIMAROPA Area Monitor CDO II Maria Mylene G. Laririt, Operations Section Chief Engr. Shirley G. Bahia, Institutional Development Unit Head Engr. Ave Jane V. Alvarado and the IDP implementers of Regional Office, Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon-Irrigation Management Office (IMO) and Occidental Mindoro IMO. Palawan IMO IDP implementers also joins through virtual attendance.
