NIA, DA, and LGU Unite for Vital Convergence Meeting

Oriental Mindoro - In order to harmonize the efforts and strategies to hasten the registration of unregistered irrigator-farmers in the Department of Agriculture (DA) Registry System for the Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) and discuss about the clustering of Irrigators' Associations, NIA MIMAROPA Acting Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes with the support of DA MIMAROPA Regional Executive Director Engr. Maria Christine C. Inting, MPM convene the personnel, officers, and representatives of NIA, Irrigators’ Associations, Department of Agriculture (DA), and Municipal Agriculture Offices within the entire region. ©IDU Head Engr. The said system is important for it contains a database of farmers, fishermen, and farm laborers that serves as a targeting mechanism for the government's various programs and services relating to agriculture.

Present also in the said meeting are Engineering and Operations Division Manager Lowell L. Lozano, Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Division Manager Gerardo R. Perez, Operations Section Chief Engr. Shirley G. Bahia, and the Institutional Development Program (IDP) implementers of MOMARO IMO and Regional Office. Occidental Mindoro IMO Division Manager Raymundo L. Calusin, Palawan IMO Division Manager Armando L. Flores and the IDP implementers of Occidental Mindoro and Palawan IMO also join in virtual attendance.
