Palawan - The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Contructors' Performance Evaluation System (CPES) Implementing Unit conducted a thorough assessment of multiple civil works projects for the year 2023 administered by NIA MIMAROPA, Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) on June 4-11, 2024.
This was led by NIA CPES Regional Office (RO) 9 team leader Engineer Robert Berni L. Rada, Engr. Jurace E Rada, RO 10 Engr. Joel Camilo M. Haos, Engr. Kenneth John Y. Celestiano, and Magat River Integrated Irrigation System (MARIIS) Head Office Engr. John Kelly B. Gumpal and Engr. Collin G. Lubendino.
Participants included were NIA MIMAROPA Engr. Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes and Palawan IMO Division Manager Engr. Armando L. Flores along with their respective engineering staff.
The Contructors Performance Evaluator (CPE) team evaluated the Malatgao River Irrigation System (RIS), Batang Batang RIS, Bato Bato Communal Irrigation System (CIS) in Narra, Lamikan CIS in Quezon, Tamlang CIS in Brookes Pt., Barotuan SIS in El Nido, and Construction of Ibato Iraan Earthfill Dam and Appurtenant Structures in Aborlan, Palawan.
The aim was to rate the contractor’s performance using set criteria to ensure that irrigation projects meet required standards. This process is essential for maintaining transparency and accountability in delivering high-quality irrigation services to local farmers.
