KADIWA SA NIA, SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED IN ORIENTAL MINDORO

Oriental Mindoro - Aligned with the directives of Acting NIA Administrator Engr. Eduardo Eddie G. Guillen to strongly support President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr.'s KADIWA Program, NIA MIMAROPA Acting Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes spearheads the launch of “Kadiwa sa NIA” today in front of the NIA Compound in Bayanan II, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

NIA MOMARO IMO, under the leadership of Engr. Gerardo R. Perez, takes the lead in this significant endeavor through its Institutional Development Unit. Participating in the said activity are four Irrigators Associations (IAs) : Gli Agricoltori Irrigators' Association, Inc., Gutad Irrigators Association (GUIA) Inc., San Isidro-Baco Irrigators Association, Inc., and Bancuro Water System Irrigators Association, Inc. These associations will be offering a diverse range of products for sale, including assorted fresh fruits and vegetables, rice, kakanin (local delicacies), ulam (main dishes), banana chips, and pork cuts.

Acting Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes in his message during the launching emphasized that the Kadiwa is a program of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and supported by NIA Acting Administrator Engr. Eduardo Eddie G. Guillen. “Ang presyo dito sa Kadiwa sa NIA ay mas mababa kumpara sa presyo sa public market. Ang Kadiwa sa NIA ay umpisa pa lamang dito sa NIA at ito ay itutuloy-tuloy natin para maihatid ang mga sariwang produkto sa mga mamimili sa murang halaga at matulungan natin ang ating mga Irrigators Association.”

"Kadiwa sa NIA" operates under the principle of direct marketing, bringing fresh produce directly from the farmers' fields to consumers' hands, aligning seamlessly with PBBM’s program of a farm-to-consumer market chain. This approach ensures not only consumers' access to quality produce but also empowers local farmers by cutting out unnecessary intermediaries, thereby enabling them to generate higher income.

As part of its commitment to the cause, the NIA MIMAROPA office goes beyond serving as a trading post. It has also taken the initiative to transport the products of the Irrigators Associations to the office, not only to reduce costs but also to ensure the IA’s convenience.

Also present during the launch are NIA MIMAROPA Engineering and Operations Division Manager Engr. Lowell L. Lozano, Administrative and Finance Division Manager Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron, Occidental Mindoro IMO Division Manager Engr. Raymundo L. Calusin and NIA employees.
