Oriental Mindoro - NIA MIMAROPA held a Mid-Year Calibration and Workshop of Individual Performance from July 1-4, 2025, at the NIA Conference Room in Calapan City. This activity focused on reviewing Individual Performance Commitment and Review (IPCR) documents, ensuring employee performance aligned with NIA's strategic goals. This alignment followed their Civil Service Commission (CSC)-approved Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS), formalized by NIA Memorandum Circular No. 16, Series of 2019. The workshop's main goal was to assess employee accomplishments from the first half of 2025 and finalize commitments for the second half, reinforcing SPMS adherence and boosting accountability across the region.
During the activity, Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes acknowledged all employees' significant contributions, which helped the region secure seven national awards from the NIA Central Office for CY 2024. He also challenged employees to continuously enhance their skills, urging them to focus on areas needing improvement.
Administrative and Finance Division Manager Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron shared an anonymous quote: "Calibration is not about changing scores—it's about aligning our understanding of what performance truly means." She urged attendees to treat the activity as an opportunity to accurately recognize contributions, uphold performance standards, and set meaningful, measurable, and realistic goals that drive both personal growth and organizational impact. Engineering and Operations Division Manager Engr. Lowell L. Lozano also spearheaded the activity, which was facilitated by the Administrative Section, led by Joy U. Bautista.
The Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO), headed by Division Manager Engr. Armando L. Flores, participated virtually, with their employees presenting their IPCRs. The Regional Office's Performance Management Team (OPMT) assessed, evaluated, and provided valuable feedback to improve each employee's IPCR. The Occidental Mindoro IMO, led by Engr. Raymundo L. Calusin, along with the Regional Office and Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) IMO, led by Division Manager Engr. Maria Victoria O. Malenab, were scheduled for assessment and evaluation on July 2, July 3, and July 4, 2025, respectively.
