The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA, led by Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes, was in a vital coordination meeting with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) at the DPWH Regional Office Conference Hall in Diliman, Quezon City. This meeting aimed to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and ensure the successful rollout of their joint Three-Year Convergence Investment Program, directly supporting the Memorandum of Agreement previously signed under the NIA-DPWH Convergence Program.
Also representing NIA MIMAROPA were Engineering and Operations Division Manager Engr. Lowell L. Lozano and the Division Managers from its three Irrigation Management Offices: Engr. Maria Victoria O. Malenab of the Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon IMO, Engr. Raymundo L. Calusin of the Occidental Mindoro IMO, and Engr. Armando L. Flores of the Palawan IMO. They were joined by Senior Engineer A John Joco T. Matutina.
The DPWH MIMAROPA Officer-in-Charge/Division Chief of Planning and Design Engr. Dennis Abagon, along with various district engineers and their representatives, actively participated in the coordination efforts.
The success of this meeting was crucial for more efficient planning and implementation of projects under the Convergence Program, which ultimately improved infrastructure and irrigation services for communities across the region.
