Palawan - The newly-appointed Division Manager Armando L. Flores of NIA Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) engaged with the Princess Urduja Maharlika Irrigators Association (IA) during its assembly on May 15, 2023, at Batang-Batang, Narra, Palawan. This is part of the agency’s continuing effort to ensure that farmers receive the support they need.
The objective was to interact with the farmers, understand the IA concerns regarding irrigation services, and provide them with support to improve their agricultural practices. His visit marked a significant step towards building trust and strengthening partnerships with farmers and/ or local communities in town.
With a mission focused on achieving the highest satisfaction of farmers, Engr. Flores leads an agency that is driven by its dedication to implementing efficient, effective, and sustainable irrigation services.
In his statement upon assuming the office, Engr. Flores expressed the opportunity to lead the agency and vowed to support the attainment of the seven-point strategic policy direction of NIA Administrator Engr. Eduardo “Eddie” G. Guillen.
The new Palawan IMO Manager brings with him 36 years of extensive background in the agency and is poised to continue the positive trajectory of growth toward irrigation development.
