NIA MIMAROPA USHERS IN 2025 WITH “CRAFTING HORIZONS”

Calapan City Oriental Mindoro - NIA MIMAROPA, led by Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes and Administrative and Finance Division Manager Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron, joined the nationwide "NIA Ushering 2025" activity on January 20, 2025, at the NIA Covered Court, Bayanan II. The event, held under the theme "Crafting Horizons," marked the start of the new year for the National Irrigation Administration.

The event introduced the Crafting Horizons Wall, a symbolic installation where employees contributed colorful yarns, each representing individual aspirations, thoughts, and commitments. “NIA Ushering 2025" launched the "Crafting Horizons" campaign, a forward-looking vision for NIA that emphasizes a holistic approach to water management. By modernizing irrigation systems, implementing climate-smart practices, and fostering strong partnerships with farmers and communities, NIA aims to ensure water security for future generations, empower communities to adapt to environmental changes, and drive sustainable development. The "Crafting Horizons" theme symbolizes the collective efforts of NIA employees to shape the future of the agency, recognizing that their combined contributions can create a brighter future for all.

During his address, Regional Manager Cervantes highlighted the importance of individual contributions and recognized the value of each employee, regardless of their position or generation. He assured employees of the agency's support in their professional development and encouraged them to strive for excellence.

The Regional Manager also expressed his commitment to the agency's success, emphasizing the importance of collective effort and a shared vision for the future.

AFD Manager Hernandez-Aceron said that each employee has a different role in the agency, and these roles can be considered their own "craftsmanship" within NIA. How well they perform their duties and responsibilities will define and reflect the quality of their work in serving the agency and the farmers.

The NIA MIMAROPA Regional Office and the Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO), headed by Division Manager Engr. Maria Victoria O. Malenab, actively participated in the event. The Occidental Mindoro IMO, led by Division Manager Engr. Raymundo L. Calusin, and the Palawan IMO, led by Division Manager Engr. Armando L.
