Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro - NIA MIMAROPA launched its 2025 National Women's Month celebration, carrying the sub-theme "Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas," on March 3, 2025, at the NIA Compound, Bayanan II. Roses and tokens were distributed to women employees, led by Operations, Institutional Development, and Equipment Section Chief Edgard Laurenz M. Geronimo.
Employees showed their commitment to women's empowerment by wearing purple. "Purple Wednesdays" will continue throughout March. Additionally, a "Herstory: NIA Women’s Forum" is scheduled on March 27th, following the Philippine Commission on Women guidelines.
NIA MIMAROPA is dedicated to fostering gender equality and empowering women which is strongly supported by GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) Chairperson and Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes and GFPS Executive Committee members: Engineering and Operations Division Manager Engr. Lowell L. Lozano and Administrative and Finance Division Manager Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron. Through these initiatives, the organization pledges to contribute to a "Bagong Pilipinas." Women's contributions will be valued, their rights upheld, and their potential realized.
