NIA MIMAROPA Kicks Off 62nd Anniversary with Fun Run along the Irrigation Canal

Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro - The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA Region celebrated NIA's 62nd Anniversary on June 23, 2025, by kicking off festivities with a 3-kilometer Fun Run. Participants hit the pavement alongside the irrigation canal, managed by the Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon Irrigation Management Office (MOMARO IMO), tracing a route from Malad, Calapan City, directly to the NIA MIMAROPA Regional Office.

Leading the pack in this anniversary run was Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes. He was joined by key officials, including Administrative and Finance Division Manager Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron. Also participating were the three IMO Division Managers: Engr. Raymundo L. Calusin from Occidental Mindoro IMO, Engr. Armando L. Flores from Palawan IMO, and Engr. Maria Victoria O. Malenab from MOMARO IMO.

The celebration continued that afternoon with a series of fun games. The anniversary events extended into June 24, 2025, with a holy mass and the official opening of the Sportsfest, promising days full of camaraderie and celebration for NIA MIMAROPA.
