NIA MIMAROPA Conducts Strategic Planning Workshop for 2nd Semester CY 2025

Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro - The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA Region held a strategic planning workshop for the second semester of Calendar Year (CY) 2025 at the NIA Training Center in Bayanan II.

This initiative aimed to achieve the agency’s objectives for the second semester of CY 2025 across various key areas: project implementation, operations, institutional development, equipment management, and administrative and financial concerns. By addressing these areas, the workshop sought to drive continuous performance enhancement, optimize future performance, enhance service quality and efficiency, and ultimately build greater public trust.

During his address, Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes reminded participants to work hand in hand to ensure at least 70% physical accomplishment in project implementation by October 2025. He also acknowledged the efforts and accomplishments of all employees, especially the Institutional Development Program implementers headed by Engr. Ave Jane V. Alvarado, given that one of the Irrigators' Associations under the Communal Irrigation System (CIS) and Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program-Irrigation Component (CARP-IC) in NIA MIMAROPA was to be awarded as the Most Outstanding Irrigators' Association for CY 2024.

During the workshop, the Regional Office provided valuable input on targets presented by the Irrigation Management Offices (IMOs). These IMOs included the Oriental Mindoro-Marinduque-Romblon IMO, led by Division Manager Engr. Maria Victoria O. Malenab; the Occidental Mindoro IMO, led by Engr. Raymundo L. Calusin; and the Palawan IMO, led by Engr. Armando L. Flores. The targets and commitments presented adhered to the SMART criteria: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Result-Oriented, and Time-Bound.

Key personnel from the Regional Office, including Administrative and Finance Division Manager Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron, along with various Section Chiefs and Unit Heads, also participated.
