NIA Palawan IMO Turns Over Water Pump to Calambiringan Irrigators Association

Española, Palawan - In a continued effort to boost agricultural productivity and strengthen local irrigation systems, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Palawan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) formally turned over one (1) water pump unit, complete with engine and accessories, to the Calambiringan Irrigators Association on May 15, 2025, at Sitio Calabanog, Barangay Isumbo, Sofronio.

The ceremony was graced by NIA Palawan IMO Division Manager Engr. Armando L. Flores and IA President Jeanie A. Denzon, both of whom signed the Memorandum of Agreement. The agreement adheres to the guidelines set under NIA Memorandum Circular No. 27, Series of 2017, which mandates NIA to provide irrigation equipment vital for enhancing agricultural productivity in farmer-managed service areas, a key aspect of NIA's mission under the leadership of NIA MIMAROPA Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes.

Also present during the event were Sr. Irrigators Development Officer (IDO) Glenda G. Buenavista, Community Relations Assistant A Grechel G. Estiandan, and Barangay Kagawad Teodora D. Matudio.

This turnover marks another milestone in NIA’s mission to provide reliable and sustainable irrigation services to Filipino farmers.
