NIA OMIMO Executes Back-to-Back PreCon and MOA Signing for CY 2024 Projects

Occidental Mindoro  - The NIA Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (OMIMO) carried out a series of preconstruction conferences and a signing of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) to accelerate the implementation of irrigation projects in the province for CY 2024. The six projects are Bubog Communal Irrigation System (CIS) and Batasan CIS in San Jose, Pagbahan River Irrigation System (RIS) Improvement of Service Road (ISR), and the repair project in Sta. Cruz, Caguray RIS Improvement of Service Road (ISR) and rehabilitation project in Magsaysay, and Amnay RIS and Mongpong RIS Improvement of Service Road (ISR) in Sablayan.

Before commencing project construction, preconstruction conferences and memorandum of agreement (MOA) signings are conducted to educate and inform farmer beneficiaries about the project's scope of work and detailed engineering aspects, enabling them to oversee implementation adherence to standard plans and designs.

Simultaneously, these sessions allowed irrigators' associations to delineate their roles and responsibilities in ensuring the proper execution and monitoring of the project. This approach aimed to streamline the project implementation process and facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, thereby contributing to the timely and successful execution of the irrigation projects.
