Puerto Princesa City, Palawan - With the full support of the NIA MIMAROPA Regional Office Top Management, led by Engr. Ronilio M. Cerventes, MOMARO IMO Division Manager Engr. Gerardo R. Perez, Occidental Mindoro IMO Division Manager Engr. Raymundo L. Calusin, Palawan IMO Division Manager Engr. Armando L. Flores, and CARP-PMO Acting Project Manager Engr. Wilson M. Lopez, a Consultation Conference cum Writeshop on Project Completion Report (PCR) Preparation was held on September 21-22, 2023, at Palawan IMO, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
The primary objective of this event was to enhance the quality and efficiency of PCR submissions for CARP-IC Regular Funded Projects. Participants included Project-in-Charge, Irrigators Development Officers, Senior Accounting Processor B personnel under CARP-IC from the three IMOs, and the Regional CARP-IC Monitors Supervising Engineer Emerlito D. Alcala, Administrative Officer Stella Marie T. Llave, and Supervising IDO Ave Jane V. Alvarado, representing Senior IDO Mayzie P. Corderia.
Resource Persons for the event were CARP-PMO IDD Manager, Ricardo C. Lopez, and Supervising Engineer Crispin I. Agtarap, Jr. IDD Manager Lopez provided an overview of the activity and discussed the enhanced guidelines on PCR preparation, along with Engr. Agtarap. During the workshop, attendees shared the issues and concerns they encountered during PCR preparation, which were thoroughly addressed by the Regional CARP-IC monitors and Resource Speakers. Furthermore, each IMO presented their completed PCR, which underwent a comprehensive critique by the Regional CARP-IC monitors and the Resource Persons to facilitate improvement.
The highlight of the event was when each IMO committed to specific timelines for submitting outstanding PCRs to CARP-PMO. Engr. Armando L. Flores graced the final day of the event and emphasized the importance of honoring these commitments. He expressed his gratitude to the Resource Persons for generously sharing their time and expertise to enhance the quality and efficiency of PCR submissions. Lastly, Focal Person on PCR preparation and Supervising Engineer Emerlito D. Alcala assured CARP-PMO regarding the submission of said PCRs on the committed date. This collaborative effort is expected to significantly improve PCR submissions, ultimately contributing to the success of CARP-IC Regular Funded Projects in the region.
