Makati City - On March 19, 2025, NIA MIMAROPA Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes, alongside Regional Directors and focal persons from EPAHP partner agencies, participated in the Ceremonial Signing of the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty-Regional Convergence Team (RCT) Memorandum of Understanding. This event, themed “United for a Future without Hunger: A Commitment to Dignity and Empowerment,” formalized a renewed commitment to combat hunger and poverty in the MIMAROPA region.

The updated MOU builds upon a 2021 agreement, incorporating new leadership and expanding membership to include the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP), and the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC). Key additions to the MOU include provisions for data management, data sharing, accountability, and the registration of community-based organizations (CBOs) in the DSWD Digital Mapping System (DMS).

This strengthened partnership aims to enhance collaboration, resource-sharing, and the effectiveness of anti-hunger and poverty initiatives, ensuring a more integrated and sustainable approach to addressing the region's challenges. The signing signifies a collective commitment to achieving the program's goals and fostering regional development.
