NIA MIMAROPA receives seven units of heavy equipment

Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) MIMAROPA receives seven (7) units of newly-acquired heavy equipment as part of the agency's three-year refleeting program. This is also in line with NIA Administrator Engr. Eduardo Eddie G. Guillen’s 7-point strategic policy agenda on irrigation infrastructure development.

The first batch was received by NIA MIMAROPA last December 2023 which included 8 units of crawl-type excavator. This year, the region was granted with 1 unit of tractor head with Trailer, 1 unit of dump truck, 3 units of .5 cubic meter backhoe, 1 unit of 1 cubic meter backhoe and 1 unit of .5 cubic meter long reach which will be used in the improvement of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities in MIMAROPA.

Rev. Fr. Leo Gajol led the blessing which was attended by NIA MIMAROPA Regional Manager Ronilio M. Cervantes, EOD Manager Lowell L. Lozano, AFD Manager Kirsty Caroline M. Hernandez-Aceron and MOMARO IMO Manager Maria Victoria O.Malenab. Key personnel of the Regional Office and MOMARO IMO were also present.

The blessing of the newly-renovated first floor of the Administrative building was also conducted.
