Puerto Princesa City, Palawan - NIA MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes, Engineering and Operations Division (EOD) Manager Engr. Lowell L. Lozano, and Palawan IMO Division Manager Engr. Armando L. Flores, held an IDP Implementers Year-End Assessment and Strategic Planning and IPCR Workshop Cum Learning Facilitation Coaching at Palawan Uno Hotel, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. The activity commenced and concluded from [Start Date] to January 24, 2025.
Led by Institutional Development Unit (IDU) Head Engr. Ave Jane V. Alvarado, IDP implementers engaged in a comprehensive assessment of the 2024 IDP, analyzing both physical and financial accomplishments.
NIA Central Office Institutional Development Section (IDS) Community Development Officer (CDO) III, Ms. Maria Victoria J. Mamaril, and CDO II, Ristine Christian Heart E. Navarro, also attended, providing further guidance and inputs to enhance the region’s accomplishments.
In his message, EOD Manager Lozano expressed appreciation and emphasized the pivotal role of IDOs and PICs in the organization's success, particularly their proactive attitude, patience, and direct interactions with farmers. He highlighted NIA Administrator Engr. Eduardo Eddie G. Guillen's statement during the Flag Ceremony on January 20, 2025: that the goal was to empower Irrigators’ Associations to become self-sufficient service providers, rather than simply providing aid.
Regional Manager Cervantes conveyed sincere gratitude and appreciation to the MIMAROPA IDP Implementers for their contributions to achieving the CY 2024 IDP Accomplishments. He challenged the IDP implementers to continue building on the region's successes for CY 2025, stressing the agency's main objective of improving farmers' quality of life.
The first day of the activity focused on the presentation and evaluation of CY 2024 IDP Accomplishments under All Fund Sources (OFS, IMTSS, CARP, Line Projects), EPAHP, the Status of the Establishment and Development of Irrigators Service Cooperatives (ISCs), the Status of Accomplishments of Convergence Programs, and Gulayan sa Canal as of December 31, 2024. The subsequent days included the presentation of the CY 2025 POW, workshops on the preparation of the IDO Action Plan for CY 2025, the calibration of Individual Performance Commitment and Review (IPCR) targets for the 1st semester of CY 2025, the alignment of the CY 2025 Calendar of Activities of IMOs and Regional Office, and the presentation of workshop outputs.
