Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro - To improve document management agency-wide, NIA MIMAROPA conducted a comprehensive training seminar on the newly implemented Document Management System (DMS) at the NIA-IA Training Center, Bayanan II. This secure platform, developed by the NIA Central Office and guided by NIA Memorandum Circular No. 65 s. 2024, enabled efficient document handling.
The re-echo seminar, facilitated by NIA MIMAROPA personnel Senior Computer Services Programmer Jimmy V. Lozano, Jr., and Data Analyst Controller Ysra Nica A. Arcon, who had received prior training at the NIA Central Office, aimed to equip personnel with the necessary skills to effectively utilize the DMS. Participants included members of the Documented Information Team, records officers, document controllers, data encoders, and other related personnel.
In his opening message, Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes emphasized the critical importance of organized document handling for enhancing service delivery to farmers and achieving the agency’s vision, mission, and goals through digital transformation.
The training program was structured to provide a thorough understanding of the DMS. The morning session focused on discussions and orientations regarding the system's functionalities and benefits. The afternoon session involved hands-on workshops and tutorials, allowing participants to gain practical experience with the DMS.
This initiative underscored NIA MIMAROPA’s commitment to embracing digitalization and improving operational efficiency, ultimately benefiting the farmers and communities it served.
