Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro -NIA MIMAROPA, led by Regional Manager Engr. Ronilio M. Cervantes, conducted its annual Assessment of the Inventory of National, Communal, Private, and Other Government Agencies (OGAs) Irrigation Systems as of December 2024. This activity monitored irrigation development within the entire MIMAROPA region.
Regional Manager Cervantes emphasized the importance of the activity and expressed his gratitude to the Operations and Institutional Development personnel for their hard work in implementing the agency's programs, particularly the NIA Administrator's Farmers Support Services Program, noting that they were key personnel in this program.
NIA Central Office Systems Management Division Manager Engr. Ma. Lourdes J. Garriga and NIA MIMAROPA’s area monitor Engr. Jinky Lou Gumtang attended virtually, providing valuable input and reminders for improvement to each presentation.
Other NIA MIMAROPA officials present included Engineering and Operations Division Manager Engr. Lowell L. Lozano, Mindoro Oriental-Marinduque-Romblon (MOMARO) Irrigation Management Office (IMO) Division Manager Engr. Maria Victoria O. Malenab, Occidental Mindoro IMO Division Manager Engr. Raymundo L. Calusin, and operations key personnel from the Regional Office, MOMARO IMO, and Occidental Mindoro IMO. The Palawan IMO, headed by Division Manager Engr. Armando L. Flores, also attended virtually.
